Clearer direction is needed about proper hand washing technique.

Description

The Challenge

Interpreters who provide services to patients and families needed an effective way to learn infection control compliance inside hospital facilities. A 28-slide PowerPoint presentation was being sent to train contractors on the policy, but was not achieving desired results.

The Solution

I revamped the training, and developed an interactive e-learning course to teach interpreting contractors about PPE and handwashing. Over 200 interpreters now take the course each year. Use of this course has increased understanding and compliance of infection control policy inside hospital facilities.
